These are the newest ELAR TEKS, adopted in 2017.
Do you work with ALL middle school students in ELAR? Do you have to post the standards you’re covering that day? If so, this bundle is for you! All 6th – 8th grade standards are written as “I Can” statements and retain the academic language in the ELAR TEKS. All printable pages are in black/white and look GREAT printed on colored paper. Copy each set on a different color for even more organization. (TEKS from the TEA site are used.)
Many uses:
- Besides being a time saver for YOU, BUSY TEACHER (NO more writing them on the board each day), they are small enough to be printed for students, too, and kept in a goal notebook / file when students show proof of mastery.
- If you are a curriculum coordinator or reading specialist, this set is perfect for examining the differences in TEKS across the middle school grades! Just sort by component and line up the standard numbers to see the complexity grow! Be sure to copy each grade a different color to make the progression of skills easy to identify.
