Texas 7th Grade ELAR TEKS “I Can” Statements

Do you teach 7th grade ELAR in Texas and are you required to post your addressed TEK each day? If so, these mini-posters make it easy! These are written as “I Can” statements and retain the academic language in the TEKS.

Besides being a time saver for YOU, BUSY TEACHER (NO more writing them on the board each day), they are small enough to be printed for students, too, and kept in a goal notebook / file when students show proof of mastery.

All printable pages are in black/white and look GREAT printed on colored paper. (I teach multi-grades and copy each one on a different color for even more organization.)

Description

These are the newly adopted (2017) Texas 7th grade ELAR TEKS.

Do you teach 7th grade ELAR in Texas? Are you required to post your addressed TEK each day? If so, these mini-posters make it easy! These cards take the 7th grade ELAR TEKS (found on this TEA site) and make them “I Can” statements. They retain the academic language in the TEKS, of course.

More than one use:

Besides being a time saver for YOU, BUSY TEACHER (NO more writing them on the board each day), they are small enough to be printed for students, too, and kept in a goal notebook / file when students show proof of mastery.

All printable pages are in black/white and look GREAT printed on colored paper.

Find these as part of a bundle with 7th and 8th grade TEKS here. Getting all three grades helps if you teach more than one grade or if you work with teachers writing curriculum – Lay them out to see the progression over the three years! Save $1 on bundle. If you teach more than one grade, I suggest copying each grade level set on a different color. This helps with organization, and you’ll easily see which ones you’ve covered!

Safe shop here, find them on Classful, or visit the HuddleTeach Teachers Pay Teachers site.
