This set of 2022 Winter Olympics reading passages answers the need for rigorous reading, for practicing or supporting nonfiction text structure analysis, for close reading instruction, and for standardized test question practice! With a dozen original passages at three levels in three formats, you have everything you need to bring the winter sports to your students!
Specifically, the set includes three passages for each sport: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, Nordic combined, ski jumping, sliding sports (skeleton, bobsleigh, and luge), snowboard, and speed skating (long and short track).
Further, there are two versions of the sliding sports passages – one with a more mature statement and one without – to best meet the needs of your community.
