Description
The most effective intervention uses the swing back approach (detailed in this blog). We must go back to pick up missed skills, but then move forward, implementing the skills in grade-level appropriate ways. This product helps you do that by reviewing syllables and applying them directly to multisyllabic words! Just like that – syllables to words!
Follow this routine:
1. Teacher pronounces the syllable on the screen.
2. Students repeat the syllable.
3. Students chorally read the three words below the syllable. Work toward accuracy and fluency.
The longer words are color-coded by syllable to help students understand the word-solving technique of chunking.
